While crews are wrapping up a busy year of construction, big plans are also being made for 2024!
Thousands of MEC members were connected to the fiber network this past year. To date, nearly 22,000 members have access to 100% fiber internet.
Fiber-to-the-home is now available in four areas: Airport, Silver Creek, Big Bend, and the majority of Fort Mohave where crews are in the last stages of construction. According to the schedule, construction in Fort Mohave should be completed at the beginning of the upcoming year. Crews will then be able to turn their attention to restoration in this area.
Meanwhile, construction in Opalka (Golden Shores/Topock) is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2024.
