Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) has made progress since starting Phase 1 construction on our fiber-optic network! There are nearly 130,000 feet of fiber-optic line installed and another 656,000 more feet scheduled to be installed as MEC continues to build out to neighborhoods. The project is scheduled to be built in phases over 5 years.
The fiber-optic network will enhance MEC’s electrical facilities, including substations, other MEC equipment, like meters, and improve communications with our transmission provider (AZ G&T) and renewable energy facilities connected to the MEC electric system. By interconnecting our equipment and facilities with that of our transmission provider and renewable energy facilities, the fiber-optic network will allow MEC to receive near real-time data for enhanced operation capabilities. As a bonus, MEC’s fiber-optic network will provide our members the option for TWN’s reliable internet and phone services, with guided streaming services.
As we continue with the Phase 1 construction in Bullhead City, contractor crews may need access to utility easements on or near your property. We ask for your patience and cooperation as we continue to improve our electrical infrastructure.
You can help us identify MEC members interested in TWN’s internet by telling your friends and neighbors to pre-register at twncomm.com/mohave/.

Hello Judy, thank you for getting in touch. The location you asked about is part of our Airport Area where we have just begun construction. You can find out which plans are available to you now at https://www.twncomm.com/get-started/. If fiber is not immediately available, you can still sign up for fixed wireless and you will be among the first offered a fiber plan when available.
