Heard of the Underground Agreement but not sure what it is? Keep reading to learn more.
What is the Underground Agreement?
The Underground Agreement gives TWN permission to visit your property to prepare your home for fiber internet service.
When you sign the Underground Agreement, field crews will mark the fiber path to your home. Our goal is to take the most efficient, least invasive route possible.
After crews leave their white markings, it’s your job to review the proposed path to make sure it doesn’t interfere with any buried lines or equipment. 811, the national call-before-you-dig phone number, also will be contacted and will mark your yard for major utilities. It is your responsibility as the homeowner to notify us of any other buried equipment or personal property in your yard.

If you notice that the proposed fiber route interferes with any underground structures, please call 833-727-5563 immediately so the path can be adjusted. This is also the time to make any other changes to the fiber path before crews begin digging.
Why should you sign the Underground Agreement?
The Underground Agreement is the starting point for initiating fiber internet connectivity. It does not obligate you to sign up for service, but rather protects you and your property by including you in the installation process.
Signing the Underground Agreement helps us by ensuring crews don’t hit anything during the dig. It also helps you by ensuring you are satisfied with where your fiber line will be placed.
If you haven’t already, now is the time to take the first step toward the fastest, most reliable internet in town. Sign the Underground Agreement today!
